I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
